Google recently changed their algorithms to give preference to websites that have a true mobile solution in place.

Well, it’s finally reached the tipping point. Although most web developers say that point was reached a year ago or more, with Google’s recent announcement that sites without mobile-ready/responsive websites will in fact be lowered in the rankings for many searches made with mobile devices. This is really huge, as there are a large percentage of business websites out there that are old enough to not have mobile/responsive solutions in place at the time of initial development.
